How to manage screens in signagemint?

Adding a new screen

To add a screen, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Signagemint Mobile Application

Download and install the Signagemint mobile app on your Android TV.

  1. Retrieve the Device Pair Code
    Upon installation, a six-digit device pair code will appear on your TV screen.

  2. Enter the Pair Code

    • Open the Signagemint platform.

    • Navigate to the "Add Screen" section.

    • Enter the six-digit device pair code in the Screen Code field.

  3. Fetch Screen Information
    Once the pair code is entered, the platform will automatically retrieve the following information from the device:

    • Private IP

    • Public IP

    • MAC Address

    • Total Storage Space

    • Occupied Space

    • Free Space

    • Device OS

    • Java Version

    • SDK Version

    • APK Version

    • Screen Code

    • Paired Status

    • Screen ID

  4. Add Additional Details
    Fill in the following optional fields to configure the screen:

    • Notes: Add relevant notes or comments for easy identification.

    • Location Selection: Choose the location where the screen is installed.

    • Spot Name: Specify the screen’s spot or placement name.

    • Property Selection: Assign the screen to a specific property.

    • Layout: Select the desired layout for screen content.

    • Watermark: Enable or disable watermark settings as required.

  5. Save the Screen
    After filling in the required and optional fields, click Save to add the screen to the platform.


Editing an existing screen

The screen provides several functionalities to enhance and customize your experience. Below is a simplified guide to the available options:

  1. Enter Notes
    Allows you to add custom notes or comments related to the selected property or location.

  2. Location Selection
    Enables you to choose a specific location for the task or property. Use the dropdown or map-based selection for accuracy.

  3. Spot Name
    Enter a specific name or identifier for the spot you're working on. This helps in organizing and categorizing your data.

  4. Property Selection
    Select the relevant property from a predefined list. This ensures that all entries are associated with the correct property.

  5. Layout
    Choose from available layouts to customize the appearance or arrangement of the data on the screen.

  6. Watermark
    Add a watermark to your content for branding or security purposes. This can include text, logos, or predefined designs.

Clone an existing screen

The Clone action allows users to duplicate the content displayed on an existing paired screen.

Viewing paired screen information

Users can easily access details about paired screens, including the following:

  • Screen Information: View the details of existing paired screens.

  • Screen Location: Check the location of each screen.

  • Media Logs: Review logs related to the media displayed on the screens.

Deleting a paired screen

The user can remove an existing paired screen. A confirmation prompt will appear with "Yes" or "No" options. Select "Yes" to confirm and delete the paired screen.
